March 4th

Arrived at Gulf Shores to spend time with our niece Amy.  Right after the BP Oil blowout Gulf Shore beaches were replaced with beach sand from North Carolina and Maine.  These sands were darker and coarser, as the years have gone by the whiter sand from the Gulf has blown in, thus whitening the beaches with the natural sand.
